Here, gentle reader, you will find some question that one has, when looking for a photographer, answered.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What is your approach to shooting a wedding?
My approach to weddings is simple: capture images that brings tears of joy to my clients and their friends and family. That is my ultimate goal with each and every wedding. I aim to bring a positive and stress-free experience to your day. I try to blend into the background as the day unfolds to capture the sweet, candid moments you will want to remember forever. I’ll give a little guidance such as where to stand when you’re putting on your dress or reminding you to smile as your nerves are kicking in, but it’s in a minimal and gentle way. Bottom line: I am not pushy or bossy, I’m in constant watch of keeping you on time, and I really want you to enjoy your incredible wedding day!
Do you shoot only weddings?
I am, first of all, a wedding photographer. But my clients return to me after their wedding so i shoot all kinds of events and sessions, starting with christening and than documenting their lives as a family as the years go by.
Can I see a full wedding gallery?
Sure can! I usually try and provide a few galleries for you to view that are similar to your style of wedding. However, I at least want to talk to you first to get a feel for your type of wedding so I can provide galleries of interest to you…..and possibly inspiration!
The Importance of an Engagement Session
The engagement session will give you an opportunity to preview my photography style and the way I give directions for great shots. It will also give you a chance to see how you and your future husband, photograph together. Many couples like certain poses over others and it helps me know what you prefer so I can prepare for the big day. If an engagement session is not in the budget, then during our wedding meeting I’ll ask you a series of questions to get a feel for your likes and dislikes in wedding portrait photography.
Do we get to see all of the pictures? Will they all be Photoshopped or retouched?
Each photographer has a different workflow and editing style. That's why it's so important to look carefully at each photographer to make sure their style fits best with your vision.
My objective is always to get the natural and true image as you see it in real life. All of your images will be downloaded onto multiple hard drives with back-up copies. I'll then carefully sort through the images and filtering out duplicate shots, blinking/open mouths, flash misfires and any unflattering expressions, so you see the very best images of your day. Professional Adobe software will be used to carefully process each image for color, contrast, density, and use a little sharpening. Some images might be cropped for maximum impact. All your images will be edited and I'll select around 100 key images that will get special attention.
Timeline/Sneak Peeks
I really, really strive to complete your full wedding gallery within 2-8 weeks of your wedding. The exact date is contingent upon my workload and schedule during the busy weddings seasons. Having said that, I do give you sneak peeks along the way to give you something to look forward to and the first sneak peek comes just a few days after your wedding
Can we print directly from the images that you provide?
All of the edited images of your wedding day can be accessed via your private gallery hosted on my website, as well from your presentation USB. The images are in a high resolution format to allow you to print directly from the files provided. You are free to print your wedding photographs as you wish, email them to friends or even upload them to Facebook.
What happens to my wedding files?
I save multiple copies of wedding files on external hard drives to ensure that they are stored safely. However we will only commit to saving raw and jpeg files for a 12 month period after your wedding date.
What kind of album do you offer?
Please see the albums section of the website for information on the albums that I offer.
